Construction Management/Engineering Intern
Heavy Highway Construction Internship Program
What you will learn in this position:
Engineering layout and assisting in surveys
Assist in developing a project schedule
Subcontractor coordination
Calculation of quantities of materials for work to be performed (ie. Concrete, Asphalt, Gravel)
Assist the superintendent in running daily operations
Maintain accurate daily quantities
Insure materials are delivered and ordered correctly in a timely manner
Prepare purchase orders and subcontracts
Review shop drawing submittals
Review cost reports and check for accuracy
Force account documentation
Maintain contract files
Project correspondence with subcontractors and the owner
Maintain safety records
Make sure we get paid for all jobs
Prepare all disputes and claims
Production reports
Additional Information:
Location: Central New York Region- Syracuse, Liverpool and surrounding projects
Position Start Date: May or June
Duration: Summer
Work Type: Paid Hourly Internship
