As a BI Data Analyst, you will advise clients on how Business Intelligence and Analytics can help them measure and manage current issues, streamline and transform operational processes, or address future strategies. You will then define and implement Custom BI Applications for the client to help them become a data driven organization maximizing the effectiveness of their operations; the understanding of their customers, products and services; and the planning/realization of future opportunities.
Responsibilities
Practitioner and evangelist to create a data driven culture within our client engagements.
Work with the client C-Suite and Senior Executive Operational Management Levels to determine operational and strategic use of BI.
Investigate and solve business issues and opportunities through analyzing data (internal and external) to the client.
Set data driven metrics and processes to address those issues and opportunities.
Propose and deliver custom BI applications to align with appropriate prioritized initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
High business acumen and analysis capabilities.
Minimum five years' experience in a senior business analyst role.
Experience in analyzing business issues/opportunities and solving them through a data analytical approach.
Concentrate on cause and effect - think abstractly and creatively.
Ability to explain the story that is being told by the data.
Experience in applying Big Data to address business issues.
Deep into measuring outcomes to understand them and the underlying behaviors that affect them; and then managing them through measurement to achieve desired outcomes.
Passion for data and mining. Advanced statistics, acumen for numbers, patterns, and correlations.
Experience using BI and statistical analysis software. SQL Experience.
Strong writing skills with an exceptional ability to organize ideas for others to understand.
Ability to build relationships and trust across C-Suite and operational areas.
Excellent working skills with MS Excel and Power Point
Education and Certifications
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
