Scope of Work
- The role requires an experienced Mainframe Developer with the ability to perform as a technical lead on multiple concurrent projects in a complex business/systems environment.
- The individual will need to become a system expert and be involved in development life cycle tasks from business requirements review through implementation.
- Depending on the size and complexity of the project this person may perform system analysis tasks to help assess change impact, write system design documentation, Interface Control Documents, program specifications, and in some instances code and unit test.
- For the less complicated efforts this individual will review deliverables and provide overall project guidance.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Serve as the technical lead within ADB system area.
- Partner with demand management the business, and other ADB technical leads to understand, architect and create integrated solutions to business requirements.
- Create and Review Systems Development deliverables ranging from System Design Documentation to Unit Test plans.
- Work with develops, reviewing deliverables and providing feedback to ensure quality deliverables that support the desired architecture.
Qualifications
- 5 + years of experience in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining in COBOL, CICS and DB2 mainframe environment.
- 5+ years of experience with TSO/ISPF, COBOL II, COBOL/DB2 Stored Procedures, CICS, DB2 (SQL, QMF, SPUFI), FILE-AID, XPEDITER, SYNCSORT, JCL, VSAM, IAM.
- Java/Websphere a plus but not required.
- Microsoft SQLServer and SSIS/SSRS experience a plus but not required.
- Must understand architecture principals.
- Must have a thorough understanding of relational database; be able to create complicated high performance queries.
- Understanding of how and when to use middleware, e.g. IBM Message Broker, stored procedures, etc.
- Strong Analytical, design skills in addition to being a senior programmer.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
