As a member of the Internal Operations Audit Team, the Insurance Operations Auditor is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and making recommendations in regard to the implementation of Brown & Brown best practices throughout all of the Brown & Brown Profit Centers to aid in the prevention / mitigation of E&O incidents for the Company.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Lead and perform Insurance Operations audits of Profit Centers in the Retail & Wholesale Divisions.
Build knowledge of and supports Programs / Services divisions, as applicable.
When leading a review:
Ensure accurate and timely completion of work in preparation for reviews including, but not limited to, review of prior reports, procedures manuals, issuing carrier ratings and exceptions, licensing, websites, & contracts in a timely fashion with high degree of accuracy.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of file review including detailed notes documenting positive and negative findings.
Lead information gathering interviews with Profit Center teammates prior to reviews.
Lead conversations within team regarding potential observations and issues.
Demonstrate judgment in determining appropriate observations and classifications.
Demonstrate strong verbal communication skills in explaining audit observations, risks, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Create and submit effective draft and final reports within specified timeframes.
Items above will be accomplished both through Auditor's own work and work delegated by Auditor to other teammates.
Auditor is responsible for monitoring progress and reviewing delegated work to ensure quality work product.
When assisting on an audit:
Complete prep-work and file review as assigned with a high level of accuracy.
Perform all functions of the audit process including leading certain departments or special units within the Profit Center.
Assume additional responsibilities, if necessary, to ensure successful audit completion.
Contribute to determination of audit observations and classification.
Able to consistently meet deadlines and expectations through effective time management.
Demonstrate proficiency in insurance acumen with desire to expand knowledge.

Perform retesting / monitoring of Profit Center action plans.

Qualifications:
Required:
Demonstrated ability to perform all job responsibilities and competencies of the Insurance Operations Associate.
College degree preferred.
1-2 years' experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to learn new management systems.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to adapt to change.
Organize & prioritize work effectively.
The ability to research and analyze various types of insurance products / coverages.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
